This is a user experience/web application Developer role at Pixable, a rapidly-growing startup that is changing the game in the personalized photo books / photo products market
The Ideal Profile:
We love to see candidates who have worked on impressive web applications that they can demonstrate for us. We favor candidates who can show us they have a keen product sense and will contribute good ideas for improving the product.
Your Role:
Balance innovative new features with performance and speed for optimal user experience. Think creatively about the future of Pixable, generate feature ideas, and implement them.
Qualifications:
?Passion for building a great product that everyone will love ? your friends and family will be in awe.
?Must have a good sense of aesthetics.
?Expert knowledge of XML/HTML/DHTML/CSS with focus on cross-browser compatibility and semantic markup.
?Very strong object-oriented development skills. Must be fluent in front-end programming language including, but not limited to PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, and familiar with one or more JavaScript libraries (eg. JQuery) .
?Experience in a rapid prototyping environment.
?Must have experience with Web 2.0 technologies and previous User Experience projects.
?2+ years development experience.
?Strong communication skills ? be able to communicate and work as a team.
?Extremely hard working. This is a start-up ? long hours should be afraid of you because you own them.
?Familiar with unit testing, design patterns and component lifecycle development.

Pixable, the first online photo service allowing you to print your Facebook photos, is a start-up founded by three MIT students and is now located in New York City.
Pixable?s service allows people to create personalized photo books, calendars, videos, and more using the photos that they and their friends have stored on Facebook and other online photo respoitories such as, Flickr and Picasa. Users can also augment their printed and digital products with all their social network content like captions, tagging information, comments, and birthdays.
